YEREVAN, July 7. /ARKA/. Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and Indonesian Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita discussed expanding trade and economic cooperation and developing joint ventures.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy, the ministers met yesterday on the sidelines of the Innoprom international industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg.
Papoyan and Kartasasmita discussed, among other things, the development of the industrial sector, technology exchange, and deepening cooperation in high-value-added manufacturing.
Papoyan proposed exploring opportunities for cooperation in creating industrial zones, implementing investment programs, and organizing joint ventures.
The Armenian government’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative was also touched upon. Its implementation will contribute to strengthening regional connectivity, simplifying freight transportation, and creating new opportunities for developing trade, investment, and industrial cooperation.
