An evening of family fun, live entertainment and a spectacular drone show will return to Dixon’s riverfront as Discover Dixon hosts Venetian Night beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.
The annual event offers activities and entertainment for all ages, highlighted by a magical drone show that will light up the evening sky.
Guests can also enjoy magic and street performers, kids’ games, a dance party, art activities, live music and a community rock hunt throughout the evening. The popular spaghetti-eating contests, sponsored by Angelo’s III, will once again challenge participants of all ages.
Venetian Night has become a favorite summer tradition in Dixon, bringing families, friends and visitors together along the riverfront for an evening celebrating community and creativity.
The event is free to attend and is presented by Discover Dixon. Event sponsors include Hicks Insurance, Ken Nelson Auto Group, CGH Dixon Medical Center, Mad Water Saloon and Palmyra Pub and Eatery. Event Season Pinnacle Sponsors are Raynor Garage Doors and Sauk Valley Bank.
