Telenor Denmark reported record-high customer satisfaction, continued mobile subscriber growth, and higher service revenue in the second quarter of 2026, reflecting the company’s focus on simplifying operations and delivering stronger customer experiences.

During the second quarter of 2026, Telenor Denmark continued its transformation into a simpler, more digital, and more efficient business. Service revenue increased by 3.5 percent year-over-year, while the mobile subscriber base grew by 1,000 customers. The company reported an EBITDA margin of 31.3 percent. Telenor and its CBB brand also ranked among Denmark’s highest-rated telecom brands for customer satisfaction, with Telenor achieving its highest customer satisfaction score to date.

The positive performance comes as Telenor continues investing in modern network infrastructure, digital customer experiences, and greater customer value while simplifying operations and reducing complexity.

Growth and efficiency go hand in hand

Telenor maintained positive momentum during the quarter, with higher service revenue and continued growth in its mobile business.

The company also introduced additional efficiency improvements through simpler processes, increased digitalization, and a more focused operating model, creating a stronger foundation for future growth. At the same time, Telenor maintained investments in network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and customer experience to strengthen its long-term competitiveness.

Telenor continues to see strong demand for modern mobile and broadband services, including 5G connectivity, digital security products, and services designed to make connectivity simpler and more secure for customers.

During the quarter, the company’s new WiFi 7 router was named the best among tested 5G routers in the Danish market in an independent evaluation conducted by Excentis, reinforcing Telenor’s ambition to deliver high-quality connectivity, innovative services, and enhanced digital security.

    Broadband competition must be protected

Despite the positive results, the telecom industry continues to face significant structural challenges in the broadband market.

Like the rest of the industry, Telenor is replacing legacy broadband technologies with modern fiber and 5G networks. While this transition benefits consumers and society, it also affects broadband profitability.

Regulated wholesale prices for fiber network access are significantly higher than the historical prices for DSL connections, meaning the shift to fiber generates lower margins than the products it replaces.

Telenor also warned that regulated fiber access prices are expected to increase further in the coming years.

    Ready for the future

Telenor enters the second half of 2026 with record customer satisfaction, continued mobile subscriber growth, and a strong focus on expanding both its business and digital infrastructure.

Lars Thomsen, CEO of Telenor Denmark

I am especially proud that Telenor customers have never been more satisfied than they are today. This reflects our long-term efforts to improve the customer experience, strengthen our products, and make it easier to be a Telenor customer. At the same time, we continue to see growth in our mobile business, confirming that we are moving in the right direction. Denmark has one of Europe’s strongest and most competitive telecom markets, benefiting both consumers and businesses. We encourage regulators to take developments in the broadband market seriously. If regulated fiber wholesale prices continue to rise, they could undermine the sustainable competition that has long been one of the Danish market’s greatest strengths. Our record customer satisfaction, continued mobile growth, and stronger operational efficiency give us a solid foundation for the rest of the year.
