This advisory is issued to ensure their safety and personal security under the current circumstances.

Media outlets, including Al Jazeera, reported that the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in an official statement published on Telegram, urged its citizens already in the region to exercise extreme caution. The ministry also instructed its citizens to closely monitor updates and instructions issued by local authorities. They must strictly adhere to all security guidelines issued to address emergencies and any changes on the ground.
Airspace restrictions and disruption of commercial flights
The Moldovan diplomatic mission warned in its statement that airspace restrictions remain in place and are being enforced in many countries and cities across the region. It cautioned that these exceptional measures could lead at any moment to sudden disruptions or cancellations of regular commercial flight schedules.
Guidelines and alternative measures for travelers
In the same context, the Ministry advised travelers and stranded people to maintain continuous and permanent contact with the relevant airlines or travel agencies. She also stressed the need to regularly check the status of their flights and take-off and landing times. It also called for consideration of other safe travel arrangements and alternatives, provided that these alternative options do not pose any security or additional risks to their safety. This comes amid ongoing efforts to ensure the safe return and security of Moldovan nationals abroad.
