The Montenegrin U17 women’s volleyball team defeated Albania 3:0 (25:19, 25:14 and 25:14) in the second round of the Balkan Championship in Ferizaj.
This is the second triumph of the Montenegrin cadets at the championship, after they celebrated against Kosovo at the start.
Milan Milošević’s team played a great match, announcing a great triumph with a 6:2 lead at the start of the match.
She also had an answer to Albania’s attempts to come close throughout the set, repeatedly regaining a four-point lead, and capped it off with a mini-series for a maximum of six and a 25:19 lead.
Montenegro carried the rhythm from the first half of the match into the second half.
With a confident game, the cadets overturned an initial 0:2 deficit and, with a series of six consecutive points, reached 10:3.
They built their lead to double digits (22:12), and reached 2:0 with 25:14 in the second set.
The “Reds” were most comfortable in the third set, which they opened with three consecutive points, winning them in mini-series, Albania failed to get closer than three points.
They settled the question of the winner with a lead of 18:11, and they achieved their second victory 25:14.
The most points in the match were scored by Elena Jovanović – 15, and Sofija Duletić with 13, Klara Đukić with 12 and Jelena Ćorović with 11 were also in double figures.
Esta Gramo had seven points for Albania.
Montenegro will face one of the favorites, the Turkish national team, tomorrow at 15 p.m.
