The main opposition People Power Party(PPP) has begun disciplinary proceedings for Reps. Jin Jong-oh, Cho Kyoung-tae and Kwon Young-jin.

The party’s ethics committee announced in a press release on Monday that it had begun such procedures for the three lawmakers.

A request for disciplinary action was made for Rep. Kwon after he used profanity toward party floor leader Jeong Jeom-sig and grabbing him by the collar in protest of the formation of standing committees.

Rep. Jin is facing criticism for helping independent lawmaker Han Dong-hoon run against a PPP candidate during the June 3 local elections.

Rep. Cho is facing disciplinary complaint for encouraging other lawmakers to not pick PPP Rep. Park Duk-hyum as the National Assembly vice speaker.
