Protesters at first argued that the project, backed by the son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, would hurt fragile ecosystems and affect land ownership rights of residents. But now it has grown into a call to overthrow the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government.
