Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae has congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his reappointment as Prime Minister of Armenia, reaffirming Japan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties ahead of the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year.
In a congratulatory message, Prime Minister Takaichi described Armenia as “an important partner for Japan in maintaining and strengthening a free and open international order based on the rule of law.”
She also recalled Pashinyan’s visit to Japan in September last year, saying it had provided an important opportunity to further deepen bilateral relations.
“Next year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries, and I look forward to further expanding and developing bilateral relations under close cooperation with Your Excellency,” the Japanese prime minister said.
Takaichi concluded by wishing Pashinyan good health and continued success in office, as well as peace and prosperity for the Republic of Armenia.
