The extreme heat wave will continue to grip the nation this weekend, with regions along the east coast and Jeju likely to see showers.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, tropical nights will persist across most of the country, with overnight lows remaining above 25 degrees Celsius.
On Friday morning, temperatures will range from 22 to 27 degrees, with Seoul hitting a low of 27 degrees.
Daytime highs will hover between 31 and 39 degrees, again similar to Thursday’s readings, with Seoul reaching 39 degrees.
Temperatures are expected to ease slightly next week, but the prolonged heat wave is likely to continue.
