Following the completion of the first round of evaluation of applications submitted under the TravelShift: Youth Innovation Hub for Sustainable Tourism innovation challenge, 13 ideas have been selected to advance to the next phase of the programme.
TravelShift provides young people from across Bosnia and Herzegovina with an opportunity to develop innovative solutions that connect sustainable tourism, social cohesion and local community development. The proposed ideas cover a wide range of areas, from digital tourism services and the promotion of cultural heritage to green initiatives, community-based tourism and sustainable destination management.
The following applicants have been selected for the second round of the innovation challenge:

The selected participants will be invited to a two-day idea development workshop, scheduled for 2–3 September 2026. With the support of expert mentors, they will further develop their proposals, refine the problems and solutions they address, and strengthen the sustainability and practical applicability of their ideas.
The workshop will prepare participants for the next stages of the programme, including mentoring support and the final presentation of their solutions before an expert jury. Finalists will pitch their ideas at a Live Pitch event, to be organized on the occasion of World Tourism Day.
A prize fund of up to BAM 9,000 has been secured for the best ideas.
