CLACTON-ON-SEA, England, Aug 14 (Reuters) – Nigel Farage, leader of Britain’s populist Reform UK party, regained his parliamentary seat on Friday in an election he triggered to bolster his position against allegations of financial impropriety.
Farage won 22,239 votes in the southern English seaside resort of Clacton, beating his main challenger Count Binface, a satirical character created by a comedian, who secured 9,455 votes, after the main political parties boycotted the contest.
