사진 확대 SK Telecom is shifting the R&D center of its artificial intelligence (AI) service “Aidat” to corporate AI and domestic finished cars. Instead of research tasks related to overseas finished cars and external AI solutions, new AI infrastructure for its own companies and development tasks for domestic automakers have been added.
As a result of analyzing SK Telecom’s half-year report on the 16th, some R&D tasks have been reorganized, focusing on corporate service A Dot Biz and vehicle AI service A Dot Auto.
At A-dot Auto, the number of tasks related to finished cars in Korea has increased. The first-quarter report focused on Renault Korea’s launch of Philant, Mercedes-Benz’s response to the RFQ technology and Chinese auto software company EcarX’s response to the OS15 update.
In the semi-annual report, Renault Korea’s development of new models for GEA and AR1PH2 and Hyundai Motor’s commercial vehicle technology were newly named on behalf of them. In January, SK Telecom first commercialized A-Dot Auto on Renault Korea’s new vehicle Filant. Since then, Renault Korea has expanded its research scope to develop new models and respond to Hyundai Motor’s commercial vehicle technology, expanding the actual application cases focusing on domestic finished vehicles. Through this, the strategy is to expand A-dot Auto to a business-to-business (B2B) business in the vehicle AI field.
A-dot Biz showed a trend of strengthening its own corporate AI base. The application of OpenAI’s enterprise solution ChatGPT Enterprise, which was included in the R&D project until the first quarter, was excluded from the semi-annual report. This is because the stage of business progress has changed, such as the completion of the application stage. Instead, it added its own collaboration function, “CoWalk,” a corporate application interface (API) gateway, a metering server that manages AI model usage, and a security server to connect external AI tools.
The development of an agent operating system (OS) and an agent governance platform has also been newly included. This is to lay the foundation for companies to integrate and manage multiple AI agents.
