Doncic, who was traded to the Lakers in 2025 season, has become one of the most influential and important parts of the team. In the 2025-26 season, the 27-year-old averaged 33.5 points, 7.7 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game.
In just one season, Doncic has built a strong bond with his Lakers teammates like Austin Reaves. To add a new chapter to his Lakers spell, he is now hosting a minicamp in Slovenia, with teammates such as Reaves, Jarred Vanderbilt, Walker Kessler and Collin Sexton travelling to the country.

According to a report circulating online, Doncic is splurging to ensure his teammates have a comfortable journey to Slovenia and back to the United States.
An X account named Luka Updates claimed that Doncic could have to pay a charter rate of $18,000 per hour, with the Slovenian star reportedly chartering a plane for the group.

“The cheapest charter rate (with Bombardier Global 8000) is $18,000 per hour, though this applies only to clients who book at least 25 hours of flight time annually. Considering the flight duration from Los Angeles to Slovenia, it can be estimated that Dončić paid around a quarter of a million $ to fly his teammates one way.”

The four-day minicamp, running from August 20 to 24, will include basketball workouts, golf activities, sightseeing around Ljubljana and several other events.
