AMX confirms Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch expansion

AMX Motorcycle Accessories Superstores will enter the Aotearoa New Zealand market for the first time, with three stores scheduled to open before Christmas 2026.

The new AMX superstores will be located in Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington, giving Kiwi riders access to the retailer’s range of riding gear, motorcycle parts and accessories.

All three stores will trade seven days a week, while New Zealand customers will also be able to shop online.

    AMX expands across the Tasman

AMX Head of Marketing and Merchandise Rob Farrimond said the company was looking forward to becoming part of New Zealand’s motorcycling community.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing AMX to New Zealand. Kiwi riders have a real passion for getting out on their motorcycles and exploring the outdoors, and that is something we genuinely share,” Farrimond said.

“Our team members are bike people too – they understand the gear and the lifestyle. Whether customers visit us in-store, give us a call or order online, they can expect to speak with people who are just as passionate about motorcycles as they are.

“We’re also really excited to become part of the local riding communities in New Zealand, and to get involved with local clubs and riders.”

AMX began as a locally owned Melbourne store in 2008 and has since grown into Australia’s largest motorcycle accessories retailer, with 47 superstores across the country.

The company caters to road, dirt and adventure riders, stocking motorcycle apparel, protective equipment, replacement parts and accessories from a broad range of leading brands.

AMX says the seven-day trading schedule of its New Zealand stores will make it easier for riders to pick up essential equipment, replacement parts or last-minute items ahead of a weekend ride.
