DODGE CITY, Kan. (KWCH) – The Dodge City Police Department is providing a closer look at how it uses Flock technology.

The department is sharing data through an online Flock transparency portal. The site includes success stories, how many cameras are in use, policies for the system and a public search audit, showing Flock queries that have been made in the last 30 days.

Police say that all license plate data is automatically deleted after 30 days.

There is also an internal audit feature that flags repeated searches of the same plate. It can cut off an officer’s access until a supervisor reviews it.

Officers who abuse the system could be disciplined or even face criminal charges.
