One new initiative, the Legacy Grant Program, will support businesses that have operated in Nashville for at least 15 years.
O’Connell said the grants are designed to cover costly but essential investments, including modernization, sustainability planning, lower operating costs and marketing.
“Grants through this new program will cover areas that are essential to running a successful legacy business, but are often prohibitively costly,” O’Connell said.
The mayor also announced Nashville’s new Workforce Advancement Incentive Program, which is intended to help local businesses train and retain employees.
