Fetterman rejects ‘AI Doomsdaying,’ links tech and energy to national security

    U.S. Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania defended the expansion of artificial intelligence and the energy resources needed to support it, arguing that both are essential to American national security.

    “AI supremacy and energy dominance underpins our national security,” Fetterman posted on X on Saturday.

    Fetterman also said China benefits when the United States overreacts to concerns surrounding artificial intelligence and its infrastructure.

    “China continues to fuel and benefit from our overreaction,” he wrote.
