At least one person was killed and several others injured after a man drove a car into a crowd in the French city of Caen following an argument late on Wednesday, according to media reports.

    French media, citing police and firefighters, said the incident happened at a bus stop near the city’s railway station.

    Ten people were reported injured, four of them seriously.

    Broadcaster BFMTV, citing an unidentified source, reported a higher death toll of two, with eight people injured.

    Police detained a suspect, according to the reports.

    Caen, a city of around 110,000 people, is located in Normandy in north-western France.
