LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – The first University of Kentucky football game kicks off this weekend, and UK has released parking regulations for fans heading to Kroger Field.
Parking permits, spaces
According to UK Transportation Services, people can park at the Hilltop Avenue Garage on Rose Street and the Elizabeth Street Garage on the corner of Press Avenue and Virginia Avenue.
The Hilltop Avenue Garage is an approximate 16 minute walk away from Kroger Field, UK Transportation Services said, and the Elizabeth Street Garage is an approximate 24 minute walk away.
A limited number of pre-paid parking permits are available at Kroger Field’s Orange lot for select home games through the season. Such permits are available while supplies last prior to game day.
Kroger Field Lots will be filled according to availability during the two-hour period before kickoff. If a guest’s designated lot is full when they arrive, they will be directed to the next available lot.
While lots are reserved, spaces are not, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Any duplication or misuse of a permit can result in loss of parking privileges, and all motorcycles must have a valid game day permit to park in a reserved lot.
UK Athletics is transitioning to mobile ticketing for all events, and parking permits will also be issued through mobile delivery. Parking permits must be accessed via smartphone.

Tow-behind trailer regulations
Kroger Field lots open to fans at 8 a.m. Tow-behind trailers will not be allowed to park on paved service lots within Kroger Field without a permit.
Those bringing a tow-behind trailer without an additional permit will be directed to the nearest open grass lot if space is available.
Guests who want to bring a tow-behind trailer without a parking permit for the trailer can contact the KFund parking office to set up an in-person exchange of their red, blue or green permits for a grass lot permit.
