What gives the story extra weight is the company in which it was said. Stanija Dobrojevic was Asmin’s partner before he got together with Marinkovic, and it was reportedly during that earlier relationship that he first stepped into the restaurant business in Austria. Now, sitting next to her, he has announced he’s getting back into that business, this time with Maja.
Asmin already has restaurant experience in Austria
Running a restaurant business in Austria is nothing new for Durdzic. Before his relationship with Stanija Dobrojevic, he ran a nightclub there that hosted a good number of stars from the Serbian entertainment scene. It was later reported that Asmin ended up on a blacklist there, though he has never confirmed that claim.
His name has also been tied in recent months to accusations made public by Sita Ahmic. She claims Durdzic’s companies have been blocked over debts since 2022, and as proof she posted a screenshot from the official register of business debtors, which allegedly shows one of his companies owing another 43,303 euros. Ahmic went further, claiming Asmin’s photo also appears on a website that warns citizens about scammers, under the label “fraudster.” She also shared a message from a woman who, according to Ahmic, contacted her on Instagram and said she had hired Asmin and his brother for home renovation work, only to be defrauded out of 80,000 euros, a case that was also reported by an Austrian television station.
Durdzic has repeatedly denied these accusations, defending his business dealings publicly, and his responses to Ahmic’s claims were also reported by Blic. None of these claims has been confirmed in court so far, and they remain, for now, one side’s accusations. Maja did not address them on the show, keeping her comments strictly to the announcement of the new business.
