Each prize comprises $5,014,323 from Powerball First and Second Division, and $13,353 from Lotto Second Division, making a total prize of $5,027,676.
Two other Lotto players took home $500,000 each after winning Lotto First Division, with a Dunedin player purchasing their ticket on MyLotto and the second buying theirs from Auckland’s Sweet Lotto Centre.
Meanwhile, one Strike player from Christchurch scooped up $200,000 with Strike Four after buying their ticket on MyLotto.

Last night’s “must be won” jackpot was unique in that it was only $10m.
Under normal Powerball rules, must-win draws are triggered when the pot reaches $50m.
If there are no Powerball first division winners, the money rolls down the divisions until a winner or winners are found.
Next Wednesday marks the beginning of a huge overhaul of Lotto’s Powerball game, with the number of balls being increased from 10 to 14, meaning bigger prizes but harder odds.
MyLotto was shut down last night to prepare for the change, with Lotto NZ earlier warning players to plan ahead if they wanted to check their Powerball ticket after the draw.
It returned to full functionality – including the ticket checker – this morning, with tickets for Wednesday’s first draw of the 14-ball Powerball game now on sale.
