Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. has sold an outparcel adjacent to its Long Pond Road store in Greece, clearing the way for development of a new Delta Sonic.
Delta Sonic Carwash Systems, Inc. intends to build a 40,000-square-foot facility that will include a conveyor car wash, 16 fuel pumps and a detailing area on the plot at 3177 Long Pond Rd.
The project received approvals from the town of Greece in February.
The sale price was $5,750,000 for the parcel located to the south of the Wegmans grocery and directly behind a McDonald’s restaurant. The deed was filed on Monday with the Monroe County Clerk‘s Office.
Headquartered in Buffalo, Delta Sonic ranks No. 40 nationally by number of conveyor car wash facilities with 32. That includes seven in the Rochester metro area.
