RUTHERFORD COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – Duke Energy reports that more than 1,100 customers are without power Sunday morning across parts of Rutherford County.
According to Duke Energy’s outage map, 1,123 customers are affected along Highway 74, primarily impacting communities in the Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Road areas. The outage was first reported around 9:05 a.m.
Utility officials stated the disruption was caused by fallen trees or limbs damaging electrical equipment.
Crews have been assigned, and Duke Energy estimates power will be restored between 12:45 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.
