Yevheniia Yedlichka, a deputy of the State Self-Government of Ukrainians in Hungary, attended the meeting on behalf of Liliana Hreksa, the parliamentary representative of Hungary’s Ukrainian national minority, and the State Self-Government of Ukrainians in Hungary.
Yevheniia Yedlichka thanked the veterans for their service to Ukraine, courage, resilience, and dedication. She also expressed gratitude to the Hungarian government for its attention to Ukrainian veterans and for organizing their visits.
During the meeting, the veterans presented a special frontline edition of Taras Shevchenko’s “Kobzar,” as well as a calendar featuring photographs of Ukrainian soldiers and wounded defenders. These materials are to be donated to the Ivan Franko Ukrainian Library at the State Self-Government of Ukrainians in Hungary.
In addition, Yevheniia Yedlichka spoke with Ukraine’s Ambassador to Hungary, Fedor Shandor, and representatives of Hungarian state institutions.
The meeting was part of the Ukrainian veterans’ visit to Hungary and helped maintain contacts with representatives of the Ukrainian community and Hungarian state institutions.
