The “Reservists’ Home” was established by the IDF Manpower Directorate in partnership with Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) and the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel’s Soldiers.
The facility will host activities under the IDF’s PAKAL program, described by the organizers as focusing on companies, communities and cohesion. It will also serve as a venue for commanders’ days, professional development programs, training sessions and conferences throughout the year.
According to the organizations behind the project, its programs will give commanders practical tools to strengthen cohesion in their units and help build reservists’ resilience and sense of belonging.
Chief Reserve Officer Brig.-Gen. Beni Ben Ari, FIDF CEO Maj.-Gen. (res.) Nadav Padan and Association for the Wellbeing of Israel’s Soldiers chairman Maj.-Gen. (res.) Yoram Yair attended the inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
‘A space and a home of their own’
“I am moved to inaugurate the Reservists’ Home today, a symbol of meaningful recognition of reservists, commanders and their families,” Ben Ari said. “This is a vision years in the making, and today Israel’s reservists finally have a space and a home of their own. This facility will provide you, the commanders, with tools to support reservists and their families.”
Padan said the center reflected FIDF’s commitment to reservists, commanders and their families.
“It is a place designed to strengthen reservists, commanders and their families, and to provide them with a home rooted in belonging, resilience and community,” he said. “Its establishment is part of FIDF’s broader work on behalf of IDF soldiers and reservists, as well as the families and communities that stand beside them, from lone soldiers and wounded veterans to bereaved families. For us, it is a privilege to be there for those who give so much for all of us.”
Yair called reservists “a force multiplier for the strength and resilience of the IDF and the State of Israel,” citing the combat experience, maturity and professionalism they bring to the military.
“The Reservists’ Home is a symbol of our commitment, gratitude and immense appreciation for the reserve force,” he said. “The Association for the Wellbeing of Israel’s Soldiers thanks its loyal and generous partner, Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), whose contribution made the establishment of this facility possible.”
