Serbian diaspora in United States of America launched an action in New York during the annual session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, in which footage of the life of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija is shown on video beams mounted on trucks, RTS announced.
The trucks have so far passed through some of New York’s most important streets, including Times Square, one of the city’s most famous squares. The goal of the action, according to the organizers, is to draw the attention of international officials staying in New York to the position of the Serbian population in Kosovo and Metohija.
Aleks Mitrović, who spoke on behalf of the Serbian diaspora in the USA, said that the action was not of a political nature, but, as he stated, humanitarian and patriotic.
The screens show footage of events from March 2004, during the March pogrom, as well as footage of the wounding of the Serbian boy Stefan Stojanović in Gotovuša on Christmas Day 2023.

Among the materials being broadcast are recordings of protests by Serbian doctors in Kosovo and Metohija during May and June of this year, as well as recordings of the arrest of some Serbs.
On the video beams, you can also see messages of support for US President Donald Trump, which were previously sent from Belgrade.
The action takes place at a time when the annual session of the UN General Assembly has started in New York, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, is also in the city, participating in the accompanying meetings and a high-level summit. According to earlier announcements, Vučić will address the participants of the General Assembly on September 23.
