North Macedonian broadcaster MRT has officially revealed the song “Idnata Jas”, to be performed by 13-year-old Ana Stojanoska at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Ta’ Qali.
About “Idnata Jas”
The song, whose title translates to “My Future Self”, is an energetic and danceable pop song with an ethnic touch. Fully in Macedonian, it invites the listeners to stay true to themselves and pursue their dreams, fitting nicely with the spirit of Junior Eurovision.
Ana Stojanoska was internally selected by MRT through an expert jury, which agreed unanimously that she should represent North Macedonia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Malta.
Junior Eurovision 2026 continues to take shape
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 is due to take place at 21.00 CEST, on Saturday 24 October, live from the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre (MFCC) in Ta’ Qali. Malta’s broadcaster PBS are hosting the contest for the third time, having done so previously in 2014 and 2016.

North Macedonia’s Junior Eurovision journey
North Macedonia debuted in Junior Eurovision in the first edition of the Contest in Copenhagen in 2003. Their first entry was “Ti ne me poznavaš”, performed by Marija and Viktorija. At the close of voting, the duo finished in 12th place, earning 19 points. Since then, North Macedonia have taken part in 18 editions of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The only years which did not feature a North Macedonian artist were in 2012, 2014 and 2020; the last due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2025, Nela Mančeska represented North Macedonia with the song “Miracle”. She scored a total of 141 points, receiving 92 from the jury and 49 from the online vote, for an overall seventh place out of eighteen.
