Maples Group announced the appointments on 24 September. The international group provides legal and financial services, including fiduciary, fund and compliance services. In Luxembourg, its fiduciary team works with fund and corporate structures on matters such as accounting, financial reporting and governance.

Quénéhervé brings more than 20 years’ experience in financial services to the team. A certified public accountant, she has worked in audit and advisory at a Big Four firm and has built and led specialist accounting teams. Much of her work has involved private equity and real estate structures, both regulated and unregulated. She has also supported alternative investment funds, holding companies and other corporate vehicles through transactions and restructurings.

Ion’s background lies across audit, fund administration and financial services. He has more than 18 years’ international experience and, like Quénéhervé, has worked with private equity and real estate structures. A fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, he has held senior positions overseeing the administration and governance of cross-border investments. His experience at a Big Four firm also covered financial reporting controls and capital markets transactions.

“The addition of Aune and Cosmin reflects the significant growth of our business over recent years and our continued investment in the Luxembourg market,” said Jorge Perez, head of fiduciary services Luxembourg. He added that clients increasingly needed support on governance, accounting and regulatory matters.
