Built on Ukrainian combat experience, the course has attracted international attention. Its new status comes as the training center pursues a broader NATO role.
The combat employment of unmanned systems course at the International Peacekeeping and Security Centre (IPSC) has received NATO Selected status. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this.

The DWAC program was developed by Ukrainian instructor officers at the Partnership for Peace Training Center, drawing on the combat experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2026, the course was piloted with officers from more than ten countries.
Cooperation with partners and further assessment
IPSC has been working with Sweden’s SWEDINT since 2024 and Finland’s FINCENT since 2025. The partners help develop military education, identify training needs, and prepare instructional materials.
In November 2025, the Ukrainian team presented its experience at an international seminar in Sweden. The event was attended by representatives of NATO’s senior command and analysts.
According to the General Staff, delegations from Sweden and Finland visited IPSC in autumn 2026 and signed plans for further cooperation. The centre is also undergoing the required procedures and assessment to join NATO’s network of accredited training institutions.
