Greek retail group Jumbo posted net profit of €120.6 million in the first half of 2026, up 2.92% from a year earlier. The company’s sales rose by 4.42% over the period, to €519.26 million, Cyprus Mail reports.
The company maintained its forecast for the full year 2026 and announced an extraordinary cash payment of €1 per share.
Operations in the Cypriot market
Cyprus remains one of four markets where Jumbo directly operates stores. According to the group, disruptions initially caused by the island’s proximity to conflicts in the Middle East gradually eased, while market conditions normalized during the summer months.

Jumbo currently has six stores in Cyprus. The group also directly operates 53 stores in Greece, 10 in Bulgaria and 20 in Romania. In total, the chain has 89 stores.
Expansion plans
Jumbo plans to open another store in Cyprus in 2027. This is part of a targeted expansion programme in markets that are key to the group.
