New Orleans police investigate Poland Avenue shooting

NEW ORLEANS —

New Orleans police are investigating after a man was shot near the intersection of Poland Avenue and North Derbigny Street.

Police said 5th District officers responded to the area at approximately 10:22 p.m. and found evidence of a shooting.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle.

WDSU is working to learn more about the shooting.

The investigation remains ongoing.
