Bosnia and Herzegovina visits Poland on Friday chasing redemption after losing each of the last three clashes between the pair. Both of these countries were relegated from the top flight of the UEFA Nations League in the last campaign and are each among the favorites to top Group B4.
Each of the last two encounters between these sides took place in the 2020/21 Nations League and resulted in home-and-away wins for the Eagles. Captain Robert Lewandowski grabbed two goals and an assist when Poland triumphed 3-0 over the Golden Lillies in Wroclaw the last time these nations collided.
The national treasure signed for the Chicago Fire this summer and has enjoyed an encouraging start in the States, scoring seven goals in his first 15 games for the club. However, he was unable to fire his country to World Cup 2026, unlike Bosnia and Herzegovina, who narrowly missed out on a spot in the knockout stages.
Amar Dedic has similarly started strong after joining Newcastle this summer but misses out for Sergej Barbarez after suffering a hamstring injury. Juventus stopper Kamil Grabara and Mallorca striker Adam Buksa are among the more notable absentees for Poland, while Magdeburg forward Mateusz Zakowski should deputize behind Lewandowski.
