The Manitowoc County Civil War Roundtable is inviting everyone out to help restore the gravesites of our nation’s heroes.
The group and community volunteers will meet at Evergreen Cemetery at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3rd to clean up and restore the grave markers for numerous Civil War veterans’ final resting places.
The organizers will provide the brushes, soap, and water; all you need to bring is a set of gloves, something to kneel on, and your reverence for those who died serving our country.
Registration is not necessary, but there is a waiver that will need to be signed by all cleaners.
That will be done on site the day of the cleaning.
