Kathmandu. Police have arrested Saroj Malla, 37, residing in Chapaungun Narayan Municipality-3, Bhaktapur, on charges of embezzling money by luring people with attractive salaries for foreign employment and promising to send them to Cyprus.
Based on the complaint of a victim stating that Malla took NPR 950,000 from one victim promising to send them to Cyprus and then became unreachable, the police dispatched from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, arrested him from Chapaungun Narayan Municipality-3, Bhaktapur.
He has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, Kathmandu, for necessary investigation and action.
