The Trinity Health Foundation will present the Dr. V.R. Alla Nursing Symposium from 5:30-8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Rhythm City Casino Resort in Davenport.

The event will bring together nursing professionals from across the Quad Cities for an evening focused on elevating the nursing profession, sharing the realities of frontline care and promoting self-care and mental well-being.

A keynote presentation will be delivered by Amie Archibald-Varley, an award-winning healthcare leader, health-equity specialist, best-selling author, speaker, journalist and podcaster. She is the co-author of “The Wisdom of Nurses: Stories of Grit From the Front Lines” and host of “The Gritty Nurse,” a leading Canadian nursing podcast.

“Nurses are the voice of compassion, advocacy and healing for our patients and families every day. This symposium is an opportunity to recognize their contributions, learn from one another and focus on the well-being of those who dedicate their lives to caring for others,” said Dr. Alla.

To attend, RSVP by Thursday, Oct. 8. Attendance is limited to the first 150 guests. Prior to the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a cocktail hour and book signing with Ms. Archibald-Varley.

This event is open to all nursing professionals of the Quad Cities, free of charge, thanks to the generosity of Dr. V.R. Alla and his family through their contributions to Trinity Health Foundation. Go here to register.
