EVERETT — Police are searching for multiple people suspected of driving a truck through the front of a Lynnwood jewelry business during an attempted robbery on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded before 12:30 p.m. to the 6500 block of 196th Street Southwest for reports of an armed robbery with shots fired, the Lynnwood Police Department said in a media release.

Police believe multiple suspects used a pickup truck to ram the front of a jewelry business during the robbery attempt, the release said.

During the incident, police said an employee at the business reportedly shot at the suspects.

The suspects then left the area in two additional vehicles described by police as a black SUV and a silver sedan, the release said.

Detectives and crime scene technicians are continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone who saw the robbery or who may have video of the suspects or their vehicles is asked to contact the Lynnwood Police Department at crimetips@lynnwoodwa.gov.
