North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has inaugurated a new national defense museum, where he viewed one of the country’s intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear bombs to the U.S., state-run media reported Tuesday.
News of the visit came as Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi condemned the North’s test a day earlier of an advanced weapon that may be capable of evading missile defenses.
That test, however, was quickly overshadowed by Kim’s visit to the Defense Revolution Museum, where the as-yet-untested Hwasong-20 ICBM and other advanced missiles and drones were also displayed, and as U.S. President Donald Trump once again teased a possible summit with the North Korean leader.
