“How You Remind Me,” “Photograph,” “Rockstar” – these titles alone are enough to bring Chad Kroeger’s distinctive raspy voice to mind. Next summer, it will once again resonate in Kaunas: Live Nation Lithuania, the largest event promoter in the Baltic States, has announced that the legendary Canadian rock band Nickelback will perform at Žalgirio Arena on 3 July 2027. Returning to the same stage after more than a decade, the band will present its latest album, Everything Under The Sun.

Released in 2001, “How You Remind Me” propelled Nickelback to worldwide fame and became a fixture on radio. During the first decade of the century, the song was played more than 1.2 million times on US radio stations. According to Nielsen SoundScan, it was the most-played song on US radio during that period. It also earned a Grammy nomination for Record of the Year.

The band enjoyed particular success with its 2005 album All The Right Reasons, featuring “Photograph,” “Rockstar” and “Far Away.” In the United States, the album received Diamond certification from the RIAA after surpassing 10 million album-equivalent units, including sales and converted streams. It remains one of the greatest achievements of Nickelback’s career, illustrating how far a story that began in the small Canadian town of Hanna has travelled.

Nickelback have sold nearly 65 million albums worldwide and attract more than 50 million monthly listeners. In 2023, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame stated in the band’s biography that their music had accumulated more than 10 billion streams.

Nickelback have received 12 JUNO Awards and three American Music Awards, while Billboard named them the top rock band of the first decade of the 21st century. In 2023, the musicians were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in recognition of their contribution to the country’s musical history.
