President Donald Trump stopped in Michigan on Sunday afternoon, as he continued his whirlwind tour of US locations to rally support for Republican candidates.
In Port Huron, just outside Detroit, President Trump said he’s supporting Mike Rogers for US senator from Michigan, against progressive Democrat Abdul El-Sayid.
About midway through his speech, the President played a tape indicating that El-Sayid said he hates America, a statement that El-Sayid has denied saying.
President Trump also said his administration has done a good job in seeing that Iran doesn’t have a nuclear weapon, promising a conclusion soon.
“We defeated them economically, militarily, and now we are ensuring that Iran will never have, never ever, ever have, a nuclear weapon — and you’ll see that ending soon, one way or another.,” he told the crowd.
He also linked Democrat El-Sayid with the Muslim Brotherhood, the shadowy, nearly 100-year-old Islamist organization that is banned in many nations, portions of which have been deemed by the US to be terrorists.
