Microsoft and Asobo have recently launched their latest world update, bringing high-quality photogrammetry and extra content to regions throughout Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.

Their development team partnered up with Bing Places and Gaya Simulations to bring an update to this region for the first time in the simulator’s history, adding 12 areas of interest rendered using updated photogrammetry, TIN (triangulated irregular network) surface texturing, and DEM (digital elevation model) data.

The areas with updated – or now including – photogrammetry include the cities of Tallinn (Estonia), Riga (Latvia), Kaunas and Vilnius (Lithuania), Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan, Warsaw, and Wroclaw (Poland).

The update also adds 77 points of interest across the regions, including the Angla Windmill Park, Keri Lighthouse, Kõpu Lighthouse (Estonia), Edole Castle, Kolka Lighthouse, Riga Radio and TV Tower, Rundale Palace (Latvia), Lazdininkai Windmill, Lyduvenai Bridge, Old Zabyskis Church, Trakai Island Castle (Lithuania), Malbork Castle, Sopot Pier, Urania Hall (Poland).

In usual fashion for their world updates, they have also added a couple of handcrafted airports developed by Gaya Simulations: Kärdla Airport (Estonia), Jūrmala Airport (Latvia), Palanga International Airport (Lithuania), Warsaw-Babice Airport, and Opole-Kamień Śląski Airport (Poland).

Additionally, they have also added three discovery flights, four precision landings, a single landing challenge, one guided tour, and a rally race.

The update is available for free in the MSFS Marketplace.
