The India–Sweden Innovations Accelerator (ISIA) hosted its 28th workshop in Pune, bringing together representatives from over 60 Indian companies and 7 Swedish energy cleantech enterprises.

The aim was to accelerate industrial decarbonization and clean energy adoption. Supported by the Swedish Energy Agency and implemented alongside Business Sweden and the Confederation of Indian Industry – Green Business Centre (CII-GBC), the bilateral platform facilitates the deployment of Swedish green innovations across the Indian market. Participating companies showcased cleantech solutions across energy storage, clean mobility, water management, resource efficiency, and digital IoT applications.

    Executive perspectives:

“Integrating sustainability into business practices and advancing resource efficiency is essential for modern enterprise,” said Pranati Shroff Munot, Core Committee Member, IGBC Pune Chapter, and Director, Sustain and Save. “Collaboration and innovative technologies play a pivotal role in accelerating the adoption of green practices across industries and the built environment.”

“Sweden continues to pioneer energy transition solutions globally, making sustained partnership with India critical,” said Nils Henoch, Senior Business Developer, Swedish Energy Agency. “Strengthening India–Sweden collaboration in clean technologies through programs like ISIA and the Industry Transition Partnership helps bridge innovation with scale.”

“Given India’s ambition to reach net zero by 2070, there is clear urgency to strengthen trade and investment partnerships,” said Erik Odar, Trade Commissioner, Business Sweden. “Swedish technology providers must think long term, invest locally, and build strong local partnerships to support India’s energy transition.”

“Translating sustainability goals into actionable outcomes requires proven technologies and robust industry partnerships,” said Dinesh Ghai, Principal Counsellor, CII-Green Business Centre. “Indian industry must build on these interactions to explore meaningful commercial collaborations that accelerate the broader green transition.”

    Backdrop:

As ISIA approaches its 15th anniversary next year, the platform has enabled over 250 pilot and commercial projects, introduced more than 80 advanced clean technologies to India, and engaged 1,500 Indian stakeholders.
