Travel agencies are there to help and plan different routes. Tan, at 96 years old, was turned down by one of them. Far from hanging his head and letting himself be discouraged by that refusal, the nearly centenarian got down to work. His relationship with technology does not reach the level of the ‘millennials’, but he relied on AI to achieve his dream.

The first thing he did was mention that his place of origin was Jiangsu province. Then, he had to take a train to Lhasa and reach Tibet. He left home on October 10 and summited this mountain in just 43 hours. In other words, he covered 3,000 kilometers in less than two days thanks to the work of artificial intelligence.

How he made the trip to Tibet at 96 years old in 43 hours

His story would have remained anonymous if it hadn’t been for a traveler who saw him and became interested in what he had done. After hearing his account, he decided he had to publish a video telling what Ten had achieved. On October 21, after finishing his journey, he returned home safe and sound. And, obviously, with an experience that would have been impossible if it hadn’t been for AI.

The truth is that the original post with Ten’s video went very viral on social media, receiving countless comments praising what he had achieved. “This story reminds us that it is never too late to pursue our dreams and embark on new adventures. Bravo to Mr. Tan for his courage and determination!” wrote one user.

“It would be wonderful to know what he did to be able to live to 96 in excellent health and how he survived the trip to Tibet without suffering the effects of the altitude,” commented another, envious of the feat achieved by Ten. This 96-year-old man proved that no challenge is impossible.
