      That was a great game. I like the tactics of scoring the winning goal right before the end of the game, easier to keep your end clear for just a minute or two 😀

      I thought Southgate was playing some of his crazy experimental tactics again taking off Kane for Watkins but my god was he so right in this call! This will clean out all the doubters and the boys can go into the final with maximum confidence

      Im just an armchair pundit but here are my two pence.

      Start of the first half, we quickly realised their system didnt match ours and there waa acres of space in midfield and for nearly 30 minutes we battered them. They had no answer until koeman spotted the big hole and plugged it with a sub.

      After that, they became a lot harder to break down. The sub changed everything and eventually turned the dutch into a much more dangerous team on the counter, and in possession.

      They then dominated the ball for large periods and exploited our lack of being able to turn them with long balls because Kane was so isolated and giving away the ball a lot.

      That being said we defended very well and weathered the storm. I have to say Watkins reminds me of Kane 5 years ago, back to goal receiving turning the finding half a yard to squeeze a shot off. That being said Kane is constantly pressed by defenders now cos they know what hes about.

      Against Spain, i think we should start Shaw but every other piece fits. Kane is an easy target for criticsm however with this final coming up Spain will look to play expansively and we need soneone who can beat the press with a wide long ball. The issue there is Kane can do that but he doesnt seem to want to sprint to draw the defenser to drag us up the pitch. Maybe Watkins can.do that for us…

      Southgate has faced a huge amount of criticism. Tonight they played like a team which believed in itself.

      If we win Euros the Starmer gov will get a massive boost. They got a shallow majority atm but the news about more Tory backstabbing and infighting makes Labour look credible by the day. Main concern for Labour is Reform looking like opposition along with Lib Dems. Could Tories be wiped out in 5 years. One could hope.

      England have got to 3 of the last 3 Euros finals. Football has never been as inclusive a game, feel like the ladies need to be championed as the current champions! Congratulations to the men’s team, deserved place in the final.
