Whether we find him likeable or not, Tugendhat is likely to be the most ‘moderate’ candidate on the field, against Farage admirers and anti-EU/’woke’ radicals like Jenrick, Patel, Braverman and Badenoch.

The Lib Dems gained nearly 60 seats of off them. I dont think too many of those are coming back unless they remain a centre right party.

Con +Ref was about 39% on a low turn out. Problem with FPTP is that if you do get vote share in a more radical position you tend to encourage the other sides low propensity voters out as well.

    3. Nobody gives a flying fuck… This party should be abolished. Its been nothing but a massive parasite/anchor on the evolution and progression of our country… Every tory MP/supporter can get fucked by a rabies infested gorilla that’s high on meth… Fuck them all.. Heartless, corrupt motherfuckers.

      I hope he wins.

……just to watch the infighting with the rightwing fruitcakes drag on for a few more years.

They need a bang average, privately educated posh boy to step in for a bit and steady the ship.

Headline is almost alliterative. “Two top Tories tip Tom Tugendhat to clinch conservatives captaincy” would have been better.

Can’t wait for him to bring/compare everything back to the military, again and again and again.

How can former MP Baker (quite possibly our worst export here in Cornwall) be considered a top Tory now? He doesn’t even have a seat .

    9. Probably the least mad of the frontline candidates I’ve seen speculated so far. Which means he stands no chance.
