I’m sorry we have homeless but find room for 127k people we don’t know, not name, intentions entering here illegally but there entitled to a minimum 3* hotel plus perks? Tell me we could have ended homeless problem anytime but didn’t want to. Why they don’t just Go tell them they aren’t British but pick a country and get all the money and entitlement I don’t know.

Homelessness can’t be fixed. It’s something that needs to be controlled.
There’s plenty of support available for homeless people, I’d even say it’s a saturated market. There’s a million different charities, emergency accommodation choices, support from jobcentres, shelters, and food banks.
There’s a bunch of homeless people who will refuse any help just to spite the system they feel has failed them. Then there’s the people who are mentally unwell or extremely violent/aggressive.

How many homes built last year? How much immigration occurred last year? How has homelessness increased!!

btw 99.995% of people in this country are neither homeless nor billionaires, but the Guardian would prefer to focus policy on the other 0.005%
