How the heck did that happen when using correct aseptic technique everything is cleaned down after each procedure before the start of the next.
Nothing from any previous must be left out. Someone in that surgery fracked up bad.

To be honest, it’s probably a good sign that they’re being transparent about this.

I have to regularly do bloodwork, the nurse although she’s an old sweetheart bless her, never wears gloves, never uses disenfectant where the needle goes in, I just hope she changes the neadles between patients at this point

I’m not shocked that something like this happened to this poor woman, especially in Batley, and this is only going to increase. Many British people don’t want to train as nurses due to the bad pay, and those who do go abroad or quit soon after. So, the NHS has to hire inadquet staff who trained abroad that don’t meet the typical standards.
