I have not read all the post here but I have read here and there about future technology like proton treatment, using nano particles, using nano bots, target treatment and Immunology modifying one cells to fight cancer.
Other possible treatments though for some strange reason don’t see much is also using modified made virus to attack the cancer cells.
I’m wondering other futurologist here, if they can elaborate on these emerging technologies and how far out before it is use in hospitals like are these emerging technologies like 10 to 15 years out?
In mean time looks like chemotherapy is well still going to still be used. Well part of that is.
This graph from NIH shows that over 45 years there’s been clear progress.

However, the progress has been relatively slow, and at this pace showing at the current pace of progress if it keeps moving up at this pace and at this rate it will take other 45 years to eradicate cancer.
I’m wondering with new emerging technologies if it may speed up the progress rate? Because just using chemotherapy it take other 45 years to eradicate cancer based on progress rate.
What do futurologist here say about cancer treatment? And the future?
