Looks like the liverpool community so far are putting their faith back with the same lot (even after the allegations)

  1. Crazy, they were allowed to stand in local elections yet state gov review into corruption at the council will council at a later date to be determined

  2. I’m not long in the area so I didn’t really know who to vote for yesterday. 2 minutes of research made it perfectly clear who *not* to vote for.

At some point you get the government you deserve.

    >You know, I’m not much on speeches, but it’s so gratifying to leave you wallowing in the mess you’ve made. You’re screwed. Thank you. Bye.

  3. Incumbents have a huge advantage when most people don’t know the difference and only recognise several names

  4. Ppl are just overloaded with change and will vote for anything that seems familiar instead of making a choice that requires time and research.

You’d best believe that this is absolutely intentional.

I wouldn’t read much more into this than “better the devil you know”

  5. The list of people to vote for is probably a list of obvious crazies, unknowns who might or might not be crazy but definitely don’t know what they’re doing (yet), and the long-term incumbent. Do you vote for crazy, incompetent, or corrupt?

  6. A colleague of mine was invited to the Liverpool council Xmas party (last year or year before can’t remember)

When he approached Ned, him and everyone around him were talking Arabic only. When my mate approached, Ned said we don’t have to stop, he’s one of us.

  7. I voted at Cairns hill, and Ned was the only candidate that had posters and someone handing out pamphlets including how to vote cards.
