Salesman: Yes. If you keep buying from us we’re going to take the money you are giving us give you shit for free!
Me: So you mean you could have been doing this all along, but you didn’t?
Salesman: well you decided you weren’t going to renew your contract with us so we decided to improve our service?
Me: Ah ok. So if we didn’t threaten to leave, you’d just keep providing bad service for ever?
Salesman: yep. And you guys would pay for it AND like it! In fact all this talking is making me hungry. Perhaps another 100% pay rise for us? Aaaaand passed!
Me: and about energy prices?
Salesman: (munching on his caviar) well we need something something green – you’ll figure it out!

Steven Miles seems to be really trying to distinguish himself from the previous Labor leadership. I’m not sure if it will be enough for him to stay in power after next months election, but I 100% support him with this.
