Fires have engulfed huge swathes of Russia’s Rostov region, with footage posted on social media showing the extent of the flames and smoke choking the sky.
The Rostov region in southwestern Russia borders Ukraine’s Luhansk and Donetsk Oblasts. It is a key agricultural area providing more than a tenth of Russia’s grain. However, it has faced early spring frosts and a subsequent drought this year which have decreased production by almost a third, Reuters reported.
That’ll be Ukraine’s new Thermite drones, combined with a Russian inability to follow basic maintenance of fire breaks, and a collapse of the fire brigades as a result of the firemen having been conscripted then.

I’m uneasy hearing that Ukraine is employing thermite in this way. Russia could do the same thing if they wanted.
This is due to the weak position Biden has taken in handcuffing Ukraine. This war gets uglier constantly because Ukraine is kept on life support but not given what is needed to succeed. The US is too afraid to let either side win. The EU is too incompetent to do any better. Meanwhile Russia buys whatever it wants internationally. This is an all time strategic failure on the part of the west. It only gets worse I’m afraid with more Russian-cock-sucking politicians being elected. /Rant.
